About the Item
Highly elegant and timeless Scandinavian table lamp, designed for a desk, side table or reading corner.
There is a certain quiet sophistication to rare lighting designs from the 1960s that is almost impossible to replicate today. At first glance, this lamp by Hans-Agne Jakobsson may appear modest or understated. Yet it is precisely this apparent simplicity that reveals the genius of mid-century Scandinavian design. Every curve, proportion and material choice is deliberate, resulting in a lamp that feels effortlessly balanced, warm and refined.
Jakobsson’s designs are celebrated for their ability to shape light rather than overpower a space, and the BN25 is a perfect example of this philosophy. The triple circular aluminium shade construction softly diffuses the light, creating a calm, atmospheric glow while remaining highly functional. The elegant pedestal base adds a sculptural quality, allowing the lamp to stand confidently as both a lighting object and a design statement.
This original 1960s table lamp was produced in Markaryd, Sweden, and features a beautifully white-painted aluminium finish. The lamp is in excellent vintage condition, showing only light signs of age and use to the base and a few minor imperfections to the shade, consistent with its age. It is in perfect working order and emits a warm, inviting light, ideal for creating ambience on a side table, desk or bedside.
A timeless and highly collectible piece of Scandinavian lighting history that effortlessly blends form, function and atmosphere.
It is wired for safe and immediate usage in most parts of the world including the USA and when purchased by an American client we will even provide an American power plug. Again great value for money and delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 5 days is complimentary.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.

Cubic3 Dutch Design Table or Desk Lamp "Nachtschade", Nightshade Plants Inspired
Located in Lisse, NL
Unique, adjustable and rotational, stylized plant table lamp, from 1987.
This rare and interesting table lamp is number 65 of a limited edition of only 100 and one of the others is in the famous Dutch "Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen".
Illuminate your workspace with "Nightshade", the innovative desk lamp that blends functionality with botanical beauty. Crafted by hand this adjustable lamp brings a touch of artisanal charm to your desk or sidetable. Designers Ton Hoogerwerf en Gerwen van Vulpen must have been inspired by this particular group / family of plants (a family that grows particularly well in the night and in the shade, hence the name Night-shade) and the result of their design ideas has become a collector's item at home and abroad. Obviously for a lamp to have such a design and such a name makes this work of lighting art a true result of fresh creativity. The bottom part represents the flower pot, then the stem with the leaves and at the end the flower with the bulb as a stamen. Cubic 3 Design...

Wood Art Deco Mushroom Hat Table or Desk Lamp Sign M. Sabino
By Marius-Ernest Sabino
Located in Lisse, NL
100% Unrestored and original condition, mushroom design table lamp.
This very unusual and modernistic work of lighting art comes with the maker's mark M. Sabino in the base and it is another one of our latest great 'finds'. Similar work is mentioned in Janneau "Le lumiere francaise" and since it has the entire natural wear showing its long history of usage, we decided to leave it exactly as is. Both the metal shade and the wooden base have been 'marble painted' and the wear has made this rare light extra special too look at. Over the many decades this timeless, layered mushroom design table lamp has also developed an incredibly rich patina. This hand-crafted and documented table...
