About the Item

Classic Brutalist school table lamp designed by Harry Balmer and Harold Weiss, for the Laurel Lamp Co. circa 1960/70's. Known as the Ribbon Lamp, this piece features an exaggerated sculptural metal body constructed of toned steel, mounted on a squared black plinth base. This example is in very good, original, clean, working and ready to use condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age. Total H including Shade 57.75" x H w/o Shade 45.5" W at widest point of Sculpture 12" Plinth Base W 5.5" x D 5.5" x H 6" Shade Dimensions Dia. 14" x H 22.25" Shade shows minor imperfections.
