About the Item
This pair of table lamps, crafted in Italy circa 1960s, reflects the refined elegance as well as the modernist and playful spirit of mid-century Italian design. Each lamp features a sculptural rectangular base in black and white opaline glass, decorated with an alternating pois pattern of circular inlays that runs around all four sides. This bold graphic effect is complemented by the original fabric lampshades, each with two black sides, two white sides, and a continuous black trim, reinforcing the striking contrast between light and dark. The combination of opaque white and deep black glass creates a timelessly sophisticated aesthetic, while the soft illumination filtered through the shades enhances their functional refinement.
