Rare brass and metal table lamp, attributed to Gio Ponti due to its formal language, essential volumetric research, and construction approach typical of Italian production in the 1930s. The object has a structure composed of four vertical light points, each defined by a tapered brass body that culminates in small satin-finished teardrop bulbs, capable of diffusing a soft, atmospheric light.
The lighting elements are supported by a sequence of metal rings arranged in a line, which function as a sculptural base and a distinctive graphic element. This solution, based on modular repetition and purity of volume, recalls some of the formal experiments in Italian lighting design of the period, with particular attention to lightness and verticality.
The rectangular brass base, with its original patina, introduces a horizontal note that balances the composition, while the worn surfaces bear witness to time and use. The entire lamp stands out for its sober, rational yet highly decorative aesthetic, in which metal, rhythm, and proportion work together to create an object with a strong visual presence.
The combination of materials, the linearity of the design, and the essential construction make this piece particularly suitable for refined interiors, writing desks, bookcases, consoles, or collector's contexts where the quality of form and purity of design play a central role.
