About the Item

Lampada da tavolo scultorea attribuita al designer Federico Simone, prodotta da Ceramiche Casarte a Torre del Greco negli anni ’70. La base è composta da tre elementi che costituiscono due volumi sovrapposti in ceramica smaltata blu cobalto, finitura lucida profonda e intensa. Dal corpo centrale emergono tre cilindri in vetro “cracklé” trasparente, di altezze differenziate, utilizzabili come vasi portafiori, che diffondono la luce con un effetto materico ricco di riflessi. L’insieme richiama una composizione floreale astratta, con chiara ispirazione al design italiano sperimentale di quegli anni. Federico Simone (1941) ha operato come designer e direttore artistico di Casarte, contribuendo alla definizione della sua identità estetica tra ceramica d’arte e produzione industriale. Con il mutamento societario in Industria Ceramica Salernitana (ICS), Casarte rafforzò il dialogo con il design contemporaneo: tra le collaborazioni di rilievo, quella con il celebre architetto e progettista Luigi Massoni, che curò il nuovo logo dell’azienda e contribuì a orientarne l’immagine in senso più moderno e internazionale. I cilindri o bicchieri in vetro trasparente, sono realizzati con la tecnica “cracklé”, ovvero un vetro soffiato in cui la superficie, ancora bollente, viene immersa in acqua fredda o sottoposta a rapido shock termico, provocando una rete interna di fratture controllate che crea l’effetto “ragnatela” di micro-crepe. La successiva ricottura stabilizza la struttura, consentendo che la luce attraversi e venga diffusa in modo radiante e irregolare: in tal modo ogni tubo diventa un prisma luminoso che cattura riflessi sulla base in ceramica e genera giochi di luce dinamici nell’ambiente. Questa tecnica, molto apprezzata nel vetro di arte e design, conferisce all’oggetto non solo una forte qualità estetica, ma anche un valore tecnico-artigianale, poiché richiede controllo termico, soffiatura e finitura di pregio. Opera decorativa e luminosa allo stesso tempo, perfetta come pezzo da conversazione in ambienti moderni, eclettici o d’ispirazione anni ’70.
