About the Item

A large and beautiful Rococo Revival table lamp in gilded bronze from mid-19th century. Features intricate ornamentation in gilt bronze of typical Rococo floral patterns, flowing upwards from the base of three legs. The new black lacquer shade is gilded on the inside to give a warm and beautiful impression, reflecting the shining gilt bronze. The table lamp was originally a kerosene lamp or a candelabra. Newly wired electricity. Wear consistent with age and use.
