About the Item
Marvelous Italian sculptural table lamp made of twisted solid brass and walnut wood, completed with a pleated off-white lampshade with brass rims. This incredibly elegant and unique piece was produced in Italy during the early 1950s. The sculptural use of twisted brass and the refined proportions recall the work of Gabriella Crespi.
In fabulous condition, the brass features a wonderful, uniform bronze-toned patina that has been left unpolished to preserve its charm and authenticity.
The lamp features a sculptural stem made of multiple twisted brass elements. The base is in solid walnut with a warm patina and retains its perfectly functional original switch. The lamp is completed by a refined square pleated cotton lampshade with brass trims, which diffuses a soft and atmospheric light.
It comes professionally wired and tested, compatible with both US and EU/UK standards, and uses two E26/E27 light bulbs.
An outstanding and unique lamp, a must-have for collectors. Perfect for elevating a Mid-Century Modern, Art Deco, or contemporary interior with a touch of timeless Italian design elegance.
