About the Item

1970s Explosion proof passage way light reclaimed from a super tanker modified to function as a table or desk lamp. The light itself is made from bronze, brass and has a tempered glass dome and protective cage. These lights were manufactured by Wiska of Germany and are designed and built to withstand the harshest of conditions endured by heavy Industrial vessels transporting hazardous cargo across the globe. The design of this light has stood the test of time and are still manufactured to the same specification today. Loomlight have expertly stripped, polished and replaced all the electrical wiring and fitted an Edison bulb and red glow switch, mounted the lamp on copper and brass compression footings. Dimensions: Width of lamp - 14cm Depth of footings - 20cm Height - 27cm Weight - 5kg.
