About the Item
Impressive Leather and Brass Table lamp in modell B204 or also known as "Carolin" by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Markaryd, Sweden. Beautiful hand-stitched leather lampshade with a brass lampfot this modell was designed in 1963 for Hans-Agne Jakobssons eponymous company. The original label is still attached at the bottom of the lamp. Age appropriate wear to brass and shade, some small marks and one band is broken (please see photo).

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
