Villa Arev is a Paris-based ceramics and design studio founded in 2017 by Gabrielle Thomassian, a graduate of Central Saint Martins. The name “Arev” means “sun” in Armenian, symbolizing light, joy, and creativity. Inspired by postmodern and Memphis aesthetics, her work blends playfulness with craftsmanship, often using bold colors, unusual shapes, and nostalgic motifs. Each piece is handmade in small series or as a unique object. The collection includes lamps, candleholders, plates, sculptures, and other functional art pieces. Villa Arev’s creations are both decorative and expressive—meant to spark emotion and joy. Thomassian draws from a wide range of influences, from ancient ceramics to pop culture. The result is a vibrant, eclectic universe that transforms everyday objects into artistic statements, offering a sense of warmth, humor, and imagination in any interior space.
