About the Item
The One of One Collection is an ongoing series of limited-edition lamps featuring shades made from particularly rare vintage paper parasols from our archive.
Model No. 037 is a limited-edition table lamp topped with an upcycled red rice-paper shade constructed from an antique children's parasol manufactured in Japan (circa 1960) with a block-printed off-white Hibiscus flower pattern.
It sits atop a English-tan leather-wrapped column and gleaming, cylindrical spun-nickel base. Chrome fittings and a twisted black cloth-covered cord with vintage-style plug and inline Euro-style on/off switch complete the modernist profile.
Signed and numbered edition of two—a matching pair. Handmade in New York by artist Christopher Tennant.

Model No. 002 features a rice-paper shade constructed from a vintage souvenir parasol handed out at the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. It sits atop a lacquered bamboo column with a hand-painted, rattan-and-leather handle, and a painted coiled-seagrass base.
