About the Item

Extraordinary quality and design - Mid-Century Modern - crackle glaze ceramic lamp with original solid oak base/cap/finial and fittings - marked on the ceramic base - Made in Japan - impressed multi character Japanese mark - circa 1940. The harp is original to the lamp and is fixed - original shade (probably recovered with the present paper backed faux linen). Excellent vintage condition - no loss - no damage - no repairs - minor finish loss to the wood surfaces - grime and paint/finish loss to the harp and socket - a couple of minor stains to the shade - yellowing of the paper backing on the shade - ready to use. Base size - 6" diameter x 14 1/2" High. Over-all size (Including Shade) - 16 1/4" diameter x 24" high.
