About the Item

Imposing mid-century glass lamp from the French manufacturer Daum. This manufacturer is known for organically shaped glass feet. In this case, the base forms the rare shape of a steep pyramid with a pronounced peak. The base is made of thick clear glass and acts as a sculptural base. The transparency in conjunction with the emerging light leads to special lighting effects. The real special feature of this lamp is the striking shade shape. The umbrella forms a horizontal component to the vertical alignment of the foot. The original shade was covered with a red fabric. The manufacturer's name is engraved on the base. The lamp is in very good condition with few signs of wear. The cover of the original umbrella was professionally renewed. This piece has an attribution mark.
