Mid twentieth century made, double sided, iron barn owl table lamp. Over the decades we have sold a number or rare, great looking and meaningful animal related and inspired light fixtures. This here midcentury made specimen comes with a standing barn owl sculpture and because of their symbolic meaning, owls have always been our favourites. As international symbols for wisdom and learning they are always sought after in the world of education and spirituality and those of you who are self-aware enough know that the school of learning that is called life, does not close for you as long as you are still breathing. This particular owl table lamp is extra rare, because it is double sided (so it has two fronts) and that it is entirely hand-crafted out of different layers of hand hammered and patinated metal. Have you also noticed how the stylized claw feet are holding onto the geometrically designed base? The large and colorful glass eyes and the rivots on the body are some of the other elements that make this hand-crafted work of lighting art such a joy to own and to look at. The hide-like-fabric of the lamp shade is no longer in perfect condition, but it certainly still is good enough to use on this desk lamp.
