About the Item

Vibrant mid-century modern spaghetti lamp table lamp, American 1960s, featuring three spun acrylic globes in yellow, green, and blue rising like a playful posy of flowers. Sculpted wood “leaves,” brass accents, and a walnut plinth base complete this striking atomic age design, in the style of Majestic or Modeline of California. Description: Playful and sculptural mid-century modern table lamp, circa 1960s, often referred to as a spaghetti lamp for its distinctive spun acrylic globe shades. This example features three vibrant globes in citrus yellow, lime green, and aqua blue, their richly textured surfaces casting a warm, diffused light. The lamp has a dynamic, organic design, with brass-finished stems and sculpted wood “leaf” panels arranged around the central column. Rising together, the three colored globes resemble a lively posy of flowers, while the walnut and brass accents provide warmth and balance to the composition. The lamp is mounted on a square walnut plinth base with chrome collar detail and retains its original toggle switch. Though unsigned, the combination of sculptural wood, brass fittings, and whimsical acrylic shades is consistent with American makers such as Majestic Lamp Company (Newark, NJ) and Modeline of California, both known for bold, organic modernist lighting designs in the 1960s. Dimensions: Height: approx. 28 in. Width: approx. 12 in. Depth: approx. 12 in. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Original wiring present and functional; professional evaluation prior to use recommended. Spun acrylic shades are in excellent condition with minimal wear.
