About the Item

This striking Middle Eastern Qajar-period ceramic vase, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, has been later converted into an elegant table lamp. The globular earthenware body is richly hand-painted with stylized floral motifs in shades of cobalt blue, turquoise, green, and ochre, set against a warm cream ground. The surface displays a fine craquelure consistent with age, adding depth and character to the decoration. Mounted with a brass lamp assembly featuring dual sockets and pull chains, the vase is topped with period-appropriate metalwork that complements its historic aesthetic. The lamp rests on a carved wooden base, elevating the form and providing visual balance. Together, the original Qajar ceramic and later lighting elements create a harmonious blend of decorative art and functional design. A distinctive and evocative piece, this lamp reflects the ornamental richness of Qajar-era craftsmanship while offering practical use, making it well suited for collectors of Middle Eastern art, antiques, or eclectic interior settings. In addition there is an Antique beautiful Brass Mounted Porcelain Lamp Finial W/Hand Painted Fragonard, Romantic Couple Cameo.
