About the Item

A striking minimalist and sculptural counterbalance table lamp attributed to Rico Rosemarie Baltensweiler, Switzerland, 1960–70s. Executed in black metal, the lamp features a refined adjustable arm that balances on a spherical weight anchored to a cylindrical base, allowing highly controlled and effortless positioning of the light. The halogen light source enhances the lamp’s clean, functional aesthetic. This design is closely aligned with the Minimal Art and Kinetic Art movements of the period, exemplifying the precision, clarity, and movement-focused engineering for which Baltensweiler designs are celebrated.
