About the Item
A pair of Italian hand-blown Murano glass mirrored avventurina lamps that contain 23 carat gold flecks and beautiful blue glass. The process of fusing the gold flecks within the glass was aptly named as it means “adventure”, a charming way of describing this more than difficult technique. An elegant and modern take on Murano that gives off a warm, radiant glow. Both table lamps have been rewired for the US market and require medium base bulbs. They are in excellent condition – the photos accurately depict the condition.

Alberto Donà
Alberto Donà, born in Italy in 1944, began working in the glass field at the age of 13 and became known for his ability with colors and creativity in generating unique combinations, hence his valued collaborations with important companies such as Venini, Saporiti that have relied on Donà for glass accessories. In October 2001, he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. He was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
