About the Item
Chalice-shaped table lamp from Seguso’s Scavo collection, produced in the 1970s. Scavo glass is an ornamental glass distinguished by a rough, matte surface which bares resemblance to ancient glass pieces recovered in archeological excavations. The effect is achieved by dusting still hot, freshly formed glass with a blend of high-melting oxides and low-melting salts, resulting in an opaque exterior contrasted by a glossy interior.
