Bring a touch of 1970s Pop Art energy into your home with this table lamp, model "T 144," manufactured by the German firm Kontakt-Werkstätten (Kontakt Leuchten).
The lamp features a distinct "totem" or dumbbell-like silhouette, composed of two illuminated white opal glass spheres separated by a glossy orange lacquered metal cylinder. It stands on a matching trumpet-shaped orange base. When lit, the opal glass diffuses the light softly, creating a warm, cozy atmosphere, while the bold orange body provides a striking visual contrast.
This piece is a classic example of German Space Age design, perfect for adding character to a sideboard, bedside table, or desk.
Condition: The item is in Good vintage condition. Shows signs of wear consistent with age and use. While the glass is intact and clean, there is visible wear and paint loss along the bottom rim of the base (see photos). The orange lacquer retains a glossy finish.
