About the Item
This very rare table lamp was designed by Elisabeth Loholt and produced by her workshop, Loholt Keramik, in Denmark in the late 1950s. Loholt was a Danish ceramicist active in the 1950s and 1960s, known for her expressive stoneware pieces featuring organic, sculptural forms inspired by nature and animal motifs.
The striking design consists of a three-legged base with a beautifully rounded, upward-tapering shape. The ceramic is finished in a matte black glaze and hand-decorated throughout with vertical white incisions, creating a rich texture and visual depth.
The tall, tapered shade has been newly crafted in smooth ivory fabric, offering a refined contrast to the dark ceramic base.
The lamp is in very good condition, with renewed wiring and a new custom shade. Currently wired for 220V European current and fitted with a standard E26/E27 bulb socket.
