About the Item

formerly oil burning lamps with alternating color vertical bands with painted decorations, they are beautifully mounted in gilt brass featuring dragon handles, the bases are scrolls ending in paw feet, Imari porcelain is a type of Japanese porcelain that originated in the town of Arita, Kyūshū and was exported to Europe from the port of Imari in Western Japan. The term "Imari" is a European name for the porcelain, which is also known as Imari-yaki in Japanese. Imari porcelain is known for its bright colors, intricate details, and designs inspired by textiles, landscapes, birds, flowers, and courtesans, measurements are to top of vases, width of handles, and depth of bases
