About the Item
A fine pair of timeworn French Antique Table Lamps with a fine patina and great traditional form with traces of the original gilt finish.
Interesting pair of patinated metal table lamps in the form of columns mounted on tiered circular bases. With decorative gilt leafy bands. The bases are covered with old green felt. The company is known for producing metal pigeon lamps in the 19th century. Both with newer sockets and wiring and having the embossed metal maker labels on the base.
Dimensions: 20.75” high by 5.5” diameter.
Condition: Please see the detail photos. Various signs of age include finish wear and loss resulting in a fine timeworn patina, a few nicks and minor denting with one of the lamp necks being slightly curved out of line. The felt should be replaced on the base and despite the wear, the lamps maintain a charming French presentation.
