About the Item
Hand-painted Royal Delft blue-and-white table lamps with Chinoiserie birds and florals, fitted with new pistachio green silk shades and professionally rewired with fabric-wrapped cords for U.S. or international use.
Royal Delft, established in 1653, remains the sole surviving ceramics manufactory among the 32 that flourished in Delft during the Dutch Golden Age. Drawing inspiration from Chinese porcelain of the Ming and K'ang Hsi dynasties, their artisans create pieces of enduring beauty and collectible significance. Each vase bears the De Porceleyne Fles mark on the underfoot alongside dates and artisan signatures.
The professional lamp conversion features custom cut brass fittings that complement the cool blue and white palette. Newly wired with fabric-wrapped cords and standard US plugs (or can be wired for country of use), these lamps are ready for immediate use. Each lamp was created without harming the original vases in any way.
Custom drum shades in luminous pistachio green silk provide sophisticated visual counterpoint to the ceramic bases, finished top and bottom with matching passementerie trim in an elegant looped braid pattern. The pale green hue enhances the fresh, timeless quality while the hand-applied trim adds refined textile detail.

Amitābha Studio
Amitābha Studio is a husband-and-wife creative design studio founded in Amsterdam in 2021 by Davide Piai and Kimberly Poppe. The name "Amitābha" means "limitless light" in Sanskrit.
Davide Piai is an Italian craftsman with talents encompassing art, music, and culinary arts. Kimberly Poppe is an American artist, fine art photographer, curator, and interior designer, educated at Parsons School of Design and Sotheby's Institute of Art.
Together, they create functional art objects—notably luxury lighting and lamps—by meticulously sourcing and transforming antique and vintage ceramics into handcrafted designer pieces. Each of their lamps is one-of-a-kind.
In 2025, Amitābha Studio relocated to Sitges, on the Mediterranean coast south of Barcelona, Spain. While Dutch pottery remains at the heart of their collection, the move has allowed them to incorporate the rich ceramic heritage of Spain into their work.
The studio has collaborated with prestigious institutions, including Aronson Antiquairs for 17th-century Delftware and Royal Delft.
