About the Item
Unique pair of solid faceted Murano glass table lamps in a vibrant and bold aquamarine blue topaz color with a gold tone or brass armature, heavy and solid. The faceted cuts made into the solid glass base reflects the light such that the glass stone shimmer like large jewels. Lamps sold with lampshade. Made by hand in Murano, Italy, and signed on base by the Murano Glass Master, Alberto Dona. Wired for U.S. use. Gold Cloth Nylon Covered French Style electrical wire with in-line switch. Measure: Height of 23.5" includes lampshade. The glass base measures 6.5" x 6.5". This pair of lamps is on display at the Gallery at 200 Lexington Avenue at the New York Design Center.

Alberto Donà
Alberto Donà, born in Italy in 1944, began working in the glass field at the age of 13 and became known for his ability with colors and creativity in generating unique combinations, hence his valued collaborations with important companies such as Venini, Saporiti that have relied on Donà for glass accessories. In October 2001, he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. He was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
