About the Item

An impressive and stately pair of French 19th century Empire st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu lamps. This handsome pair of lamps are raised by triangular shaped bases with concave sides all above lion paws. Above is the tapered triangular shaped base with richly chased Ormolu open winged swans. The central fut above has an Ormolu Palmette shaped band below three curved acanthus leaves in patinated Bronze. The circular Ormolu palmette decorated mount above supports the reeded and tapered column. The top of the column is decorated by an Ormolu capital with an urn above filled with Ormolu chased fruits and a Tulip shaped top mount.
