About the Item

An elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Vert antique marble lamps. Each lamp is raised on ormolu ball feet below the marble base with concave corners. The richly chased satin and burnished finished socle pedestal with a twisted and fluted design is decorated with acanthus leaves and a berried laurel wreath. At each side of the marble urn are finely chased impressive ram heads joined by an exquisite floral garland below a pierced ormolu top.
