About the Item
A handsome pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Fleur de Pêcher marble and Ormolu lamps. This wonderful pair of urns mounted into lamps are raised by square Ormolu bases with concave corners and side intertwined circular chased designs. Above the circular tapered marble socle is surrounded by an Ormolu twisted ribbon trim. The urns above display bottom pierced Ormolu supports with berried foliate designs flanked by elongated leaves. Each urn is richly decorated by intertwined Ormolu serpent handles on each side, which are joined at the center by a pierced Ormolu band with a laurel branch and a ribbon like trim. Above is the neck of the vase decorated with an additional Ormolu mounts with elongated leaves and a twisted ribbon borders.
