About the Item

A most attractive pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. white Carrara marble and ormolu mounted electrified candelabras. The pair are raised by square mottled ormolu and marble bases. Above, the socles are elegantly decorated by a coeur de rai designed ormolu bands. The bottom of the urns and handles are adorned with scrolled ormolu foliage and blossoming flowers. The necks of the urns have twisted bands below the three scrolled arms filled with buds and blossoming flowers amidst leaves. All original gilt throughout. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
