About the Item

A sensational and large scale pair of French 19th century Napoleon III Period, Louis XV/XVI st. Porcelain and Ormolu lamps. Each stunning lamp is raised by a Rocaille designed and pierced Ormolu base with scrolled and reeded movements amidst seashells. Above is the elongated and large scale baluster shaped hand painted Porcelain body with exceptionally detailed scrolled foliate designs, various colorful flowers, and birds throughout, while accented with gilt. Each lamp displays a slender neck which leads to a foliate designed Ormolu top cap.
