Pair of French Art Deco Table Lamps Attributed to Jules Leleu, circa 1930
A stunning pair of original French Art Deco table lamps, attributed to Jules Leleu, celebrated for his refined balance of modern geometry and classical proportion. Designed circa 1930–40, these lamps combine the elegance of Neoclassical form with the streamlined rhythm that defined French Art Deco design.
Each lamp features three interlocking, ribbon-like curves that rise in graceful symmetry, the central element extending outward to support the socket — a subtle yet striking composition that demonstrates the sculptural precision of Leleu’s work. The design achieves perfect harmony between architectural structure and decorative restraint, hallmarks of the Maison Leleu aesthetic.
Retaining their original antique fabric shades, the lamps have been newly fitted with brass sockets to preserve authenticity while ensuring safe contemporary use. Executed in heavy cast metal with fine detailing, they reflect the superb craftsmanship of mid-1930s French ateliers.
