About the Item
A beautiful and unique pair of French turn of the century Louis XVI st. amethyst colored glass, ormolu, and crystal candelabra lamps. Each three arm lamp is raised by an elegant circular ormolu base with bun feet and a fine wrap around curved reeded band with lovely beads. The amethyst colored glass socle shaped pedestal support displays beautiful cut designs below fine ormolu foliate supports with a beautiful wrap around Vitruvian scrolled band and lovely foliate designs encasing the most decorative fluted baluster shaped central support. The three elegantly scrolled arms branch out from a striking central urn shaped finial with a fine wrap around beaded band and superb richly chased eternal flame finial, and lead to fine foliate designs and exceptional reeded amethyst colored glass bobeches. All original gilt throughout.
