There are a few vintage VERSIONS (copies) of this lamp currentlyfor sale. None are like this pair, in SIZE (largest ones ever made), and quality of detail). There is no comparison to these and also there is no other pair for sale in this pastel all original coloration. With original shades! You will see the difference in pictures. These lamps are 40" with shades on, but they can be taller with a different harp if desired, the are the tallest of all Lotus Pond lamps ever made.
The Iconic Italian lotus lamps. Made in the late 50s / early 60s. These RARE beauties spent their lifetime in a Mediterranean Palm Beach 1920's mansion master bedroom. The shades were custom made for the lamps in a natural color textured linen. The shape and color look amazing with the lamps.
All original, there are a few imperfections that do not distract whatsoever from the lamps. One of the 2 lamp bases has been repaired that is on the back side. You do not see it from the front at all. Minor chips on 4 of the lotus leaves. We know how and can repair these leaves if buyer requests us to do so. Due to their value and increasing demand, some designers/buyers prefer they remain all original with no modifications or repairs for auction value.
The pastel soft colors of the hand painted (old original is spectacular. The pictures do not do them justice. They have a chalky color that blend so well together. The details on the flowers on the lotus stalks are off the charts. A work of art. Look 3D dimensional!
