About the Item
Charming pair of cloisonné enamel vases from the Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912), each with a mauve background featuring pretty swallows fluttering among flowering branches and foliage.
The top and bottom of the lamps feature borders decorated with classical motifs. Each lamp has a different design, they have been transformed into a pair of lamps then mounted on intricate golden bases with ornate scrollwork and embellishments reminiscent of the baroque style.
The lampshades, which boast a beautiful hue of gold on the inside, are made from a rich navy-blue fabric, giving it a velvety feel, and which provides a modern touch to the traditional design of the lamps.
This unique pair of with contemporary elegance, making them perfect decorative pieces for any chic interior.
Both lights have been rewired.
