About the Item
This striking pair of table lamps features sculptural figures of Thepphanom, traditional Thai celestial attendants and temple guardians. Each deity is depicted kneeling in a respectful wai prayer position, expertly crafted from ceramic with a classic celadon green glaze. The glaze is characterized by a fine, uniform crackle (crazing) typical of authentic Thai Celadon production from the mid-20th century.
The figures are mounted on contrasting stepped black-lacquered wood bases, enhancing their Hollywood Regency and Chinoiserie appeal. Topped with clean white drum shades, these lamps blend serene traditional artistry with modern mid-century lighting design.
