About the Item

Pair of Modern Stylised Bronze Table Lamps by Nicolas de Waël for Fondica 1990s Pair of table or bedside lamps in matt black lacquered bronze, signed on the base. The shank has a stylised naturalistic character - a volute, 2 flat discs and a half blossom are arranged independently of each other on a structured shaft. A smooth plinth with a distinctive signature on 4 small carved feet. Surreal design, the subtleties of which can only be recognised at second glance. A slender and conical silk shade made of a coarse cream-coloured silk perfectly matches the slightly brutalist-looking lamp base. Famous artists who worked for the manufactory, such as Mathias, Stéphane Galerneau, Pierre Casenove. In the style of Mid-Century Modern, Garouste et Bonetti, Giacometti, Maison Jansen, Baguès, Charles, Hollywood Regency.
