Pair of Large French Art Deco Table Lamps by Maison Petitot, Paris, circa 1930
An exceptional pair of large French modernist Art Deco table lamps, designed and produced by the renowned Maison Petitot in Paris, circa 1930.
Each lamp features a striking white double glass cone shade resting on a sculptural base composed of nine thick glass rods set within a chrome-plated metal structure. A wooden eyelet detail elegantly finishes the passage of the cord through the base—an example of the refined craftsmanship characteristic of Petitot’s work.
These lamps are a true statement in French Art Deco design, combining geometric purity with luxurious materials.
Condition
Restoration:
The chrome plating shows some signs of wear on part of the lower tier of the stepped base (see photos), consistent with age. The wiring has been fully redone, preserving the original structure, using a twisted cloth cord and a standard E26/E27 socket compatible with incandescent or LED bulbs.
The pair will be wired for your country (US, UK, EU, Australia, etc.). LED bulbs are supported.

About Maison Petitot:
Founded in 1878 by Antonin Petitot and later managed by his son Henri Petitot, the Maison Petitot workshop became one of the leading producers of French Art Deco lighting in the early 20th century. Based in Paris, they sold both directly and through wholesale channels across Europe and the United States. Known for their high-quality bronze and metal fixtures, Petitot collaborated with premier French glassmakers such as Sabino, Jean Gauthier, Muller Frères, Degué, and Schneider, placing them among the most prestigious names in 1930s lighting—alongside Hettier
Vincent.
