About the Item
Very rare table lamp from the Italian manufacturer Catellani
Smith from the Oggeti Senza Tempo collection from 1989.
A postmodern design with a playful note. with its flexible elements, the lamp looks like a lively character. A recurring element of Catellani
Smith designs is the reflector disc and an inserted and indirect lighting effect. with this light you can also find a metal reflector disc, which is held by a clamp at the end of a flexible arm. Materiality is also particularly in this design. Nickel meets brass. Industrial elements encounter complex castings. Here the shaft is formed by a simple threaded rod that sits on a dome -shaped foot. The transition is staged by a small brass cuboid. The flexible swan neck with reflector is connected to the shaft via a brass ball. The reflector arm can be easily adjusted manually using the thread of the ball. The lamp is in very good condition and has hardly any signs of wear and patina. The electrical system was professionally renewed. This piece has an attribution mark, European Plug (up to 250V). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
