About the Item

Rare ceramic TV lamp features two ballet dancers, man and woman, in front of abstract graphic background, sculpted in Art Deco style. Other examples of lamp in this shape were done in black, black with some drip glaze details, and dark green glazes; however, this lamp is decorated in a striking combination of mottled blue and drip blue glazes in overall blue-grey palette. The lamp is not signed; this shape is sometimes attributed to Maddox of California, but we were unable to find a catalog or other veritable source to confirm the attribution.
