A striking example of postmodern Italian lighting design, this Eleusi table lamp—created in the 1980s by Davide Mercatali and Paolo Pedrizzetti—embodies the bold experimentation and sculptural playfulness of that era.
The lamp features a graphically pure silhouette: a matte black cylindrical base supporting an inverted conical diffuser formed by concentric metal rings, elegantly framed by a curved yellow arm. When illuminated, the stepped shade creates a mesmerizing gradient of light and shadow—both functional and atmospheric. The integrated dimmer allows fine control over the light intensity, enhancing its sculptural presence.
