About the Item

You don't often see a pair of 1950s lamps with intact tower shades. These teak, brass and chalkware examples by Plasto Mfg. Co. are magnificent, don't you think? A few important notes about all items available through this 1stdibs dealer: 1. We list all our items as being in "good" condition with "wear consistent with age and use," even when they may be viewed subjectively as being in "very good" or "excellent" condition. We would rather our customers be pleasantly surprised than rudely awakened. We have not yet had an item returned. If we have found significant flaws that go beyond age appropriate wear, we describe them in the Condition section, so please be sure to check. 2. We are what we call "glass agnostic." If we are offering the perfect table base with a glass top that is not the size, shape, or edge treatment you prefer, just let us know before you place your order. If we have what you want, we'll supply it. We can also ship most items without the glass, if you would like to have it made locally or want to save on shipping. 3. If we have had an item restored or polished, we always ask our specialists to make it look "old but well cared for" rather than "new." Most people prefer vintage items to have some patina, or what we like to call "attractive defects." However, if you would prefer an item to look new, please let us know. We may be able to have it polished further for an additional charge. 4. 1stdibs shipping quotes tend to be the best. While there are rare circumstances when we may be able to beat them -- and we can almost always get it to you faster for an additional charge -- usually we cannot ship it for less. The exception is items 1stdibs believes should be shipped freight but you believe can be shipped in a box. If so, let us know. We'll be happy to help. 5.
