About the Item

Vintage Dutch Royal Delft Delvert blue-green hand-painted ceramic table lamp with a bespoke Liberty London Hera Plume fabric shade, crafted by Amitābha Studio from a rare 1970s vase base. This authentic Royal Delft piece bears the factory’s signature De Porceleyne Fles mark and year code on the underside, confirming its provenance and date of origin. The lamp base, from the short-lived Royal Delft Delvert series, showcases the collection’s distinctive blue-green glaze—a blend of Delft’s classical palette and modern experimentation. Its slender neck and bulbous base are hand-painted with scrolling foliate motifs in rich teal tones, sealed under a translucent milky glaze. The effect is both crisp and fluid, hallmarks of Delft craftsmanship at its most refined. The base is paired with a custom Liberty London lampshade in the iconic Hera Plume jacquard, woven in a soft “Slipper Pink” hue. The textile’s peacock-feather pattern adds an opulent counterpoint to the ceramic’s cool greens, creating a sophisticated tonal balance. Lovingly assembled by Amitābha Studio in Amsterdam, this one-of-a-kind lamp preserves the original vase completely intact. The transformation highlights the sculptural quality of the ceramic form while introducing a layer of British textile artistry. About Royal Delft and Delvert: Founded in 1653, Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) is the only surviving 17th-century Delftware factory. The Delvert line, produced between 1968 and 1976, was an experimental series exploring green-blue glazes. Its technical difficulty led to a brief production run, making extant examples especially collectible. ⸻ Please note: The lamp is fully wired for use in the U.S. Additionally, the listed height includes the lampshade. We also ensure compatibility for global use by offering a free plug customization service to match the electrical standards of your specific country. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us! ⸻ About Amitābha Studio: Amitābha Studio is a design atelier dedicated to transforming historic ceramics into one-of-a-kind lighting objects. Each lamp is crafted with deep reverence for the original form, using non-invasive methods that preserve the integrity of every antique or vintage vase. We pair these bases with bespoke lampshades—often made from luxurious textiles such as vintage sari silks or fine European fabrics—and finish each piece with carefully selected cords, fittings, and handmade brass elements. Our work is guided by a commitment to sustainability, cultural heritage, and timeless design.
