About the Item
This sculptural and monumental RARE Mid-Century Modern vintage signed Italian amazing bronze lamp by the noted Italian artist; Marcello Fantoni was done in Florence, Italy for Raymor. Signed on the bottom as such. The machine spinning torch color bronze work creates a swirling effect that looks like abalone. This is a very hard process to do and in todays world not even feasible. No special artist even knows this process now or can replicate it. The scale is impressive, and the Greek key torched bronze design is so fantastic. It has the original milk glass carrier that a shade with special fittings goes over this glass. It will not come with a shade over the milk glass. Definitely will look great with a custom shade at your end. This is an amazing lamp of which we have never seen another one on the market. It must be appreciated in person. This is a very sophisticated Italian lamp. This will need to go on a truck. This is a piece de resistance lamp and must be seen in person to appreciate it. It is monumental. Fantastico! Marcello Fantoni
Marcello Fantoni was a Florentine artist who specialized in ceramics. He studied at the Art Institute in Florence, where Libero Andreotti and Bruno Innocenti were his sculpting professors and Gianni Vagnetti was his figurative art professor. Fantoni began to work as a ceramist in 1934, opening his factory in 1936. After the Second World War, he became very successful, and his works are held in some of the world's most important museums (from the USA to Japan).

This vintage three-arm, three bulb wonderful classic vintage table lamp is totally Mid-Century Modern with a Tommi Parzinger style, circa early 1950s. It is monumental and fully restored.
