About the Item

Simonet Frères Éditeurs and Henri Dieupart, Electric Veilleuse lamp, circa 1930 Extremly Rare Veilleuse lamp in molded pressed, satin-finished and patinated glass Glass bulb cover screwed onto a nickel-plated steel base containing the electrical system Decoration of stylized Art Deco lotus leaves and abalones. Drilled for ventilation Original patina Molded signature Dieupart Circa 1930 Henri Germain Etienne Dieupart was born on July 29, 1888. He is known for his stone sculptures, with the creation of the work "Le Printemps", representing a naked woman. It is located on Square du Dr Drancher rue Sorbier in Paris and is said to have been made in 1928. Henri Dieupart was trained by Jean-Antoine Injalbert and Paul Auban in sculpture. He collaborated with Albert Simonet in the design of these Art Deco pieces which were manufactured at the Choisy le Roi crystal factory. The signature will be at the pontil "Dieupart" and "Simonet frères éditeur". In addition to the creation of monuments, he collaborated as a model maker with 2 Parisian companies: René Goro rue de Turenne in Paris and Simonet Frères between 1920 and 1935 …. The Simonet Brothers took over in 1919, an old company located at 60 rue des Archives in Paris. It was founded in the 19th century and specialized in candelabras, floor lamps, bases and bases of lighting fixtures, bases and bases of lighting fixtures, as well as bronze ornaments for furniture. Charles and Albert Simonet also offered lampshades of all shapes in pressed molded glass, polished or satin for metal frames. The latter, in partnership with Henri Dieupart, designed these pieces manufactured at the Choisy le Roi crystal factory. They are decorated with stylized floral decorations or geometric patterns. Henri Dieupart produced a range of glass vases for Simonet, sometimes colored. The signature is on the pontil "Dieupart" and "Simonet frères éditeur".
