About the Item

This striking vintage table lamp dates from the 1970s and carries dramatic architectural presence. The design features a cylindrical rotunda form, made of alternating pillars of gold-colored brass plated metal and solid oak, arranged around the circumference. The oak accents whisper warmth and texture; the brass brings sculptural polish and gleam. Together they form a rhythm of light and shadow that reads like jewelry on a scale made for furniture. Though unmarked, construction is exceptional: thick brass plating, robust oak pillars, clean joints, solid base—suggesting maker quality beyond the ordinary. The finish is rich and the surfaces have been well cared for. There is very little wear, no major dents or damage, affirming both age and integrity. Shades are not included, though the lamp takes a standard 16-inch (41 cm) diameter shade with height around 19 inches (48 cm) should you wish to pair one. This lamp suits interiors that embrace sculptural lighting, Hollywood Regency sparkle, or mid-century drama. It makes a statement on a large console, sideboard, or mantel. The combination of natural oak and gleaming brass means it complements warm woods, mirrored surfaces, leather, and bold upholstery. For collectors of vintage lighting, lamps with mixed materials, or architectural forms transformed into lighting, this piece is rare. It offers not just illumination, but a presence—something that holds space and elevates atmosphere. Vintage 1970s jumbo table lamps with architectural rotunda design. The cylindrical lamps feature an array of gold colored brass and oak pillars. The brass plated metal with solid oak accents are a true celebration of sculptural form. Although unmarked, they have a designer look and exceptional quality construction. These lamps were purchased with a 1970s time capsule sectional sofa from the same estate so we are dating them as such. These pieces will breathe life into any space. Stately yet glamorous. Perfect addition to any Mid-Century Modern or Hollywood Regency style interior. Dimensions: 10.25” diameter x 26.5” high Shades are NOT included, and sold as a pair.
