Stone Table Lamp - Art Deco Quartz Lamp - Jean Michel Frank Style - France 1940s Very beautiful table lamp reminiscent of the work of Jean-Michel Frank. French work from the 1940s. The base of the lamp is carved from a very dense and heavy stone that resembles obsidian (with varying colors), but is most likely granite or quartz coated with pigment and finished with a glossy varnish. The freeform, textured shape of the stone gives the lamp a different character depending on the angle from which it’s viewed. Bayonet socket mounted on the original brass stem. Electrical wiring fully checked and redone with a black twisted cotton cord, featuring an inline on/off switch. The white cotton shade is new and included in the set. PLEASE NOTE 1 : A few minor losses on the stone (see photos) PLEASE NOTE 2 : Plug can be changed upon request to meet American electrical standards. Just ask for it when placing your order ! Shade: included, in a natural white cotton fabric Socket: original E14 bayonet mounted on a brass stem Wiring: fully rewired with a new black cotton cable. Plug: can be replaced upon request at the time of purchase to meet US electrical standards.
