Rare pair of 1930s Art Deco bakelite table lamps with faux Marble finish, rewired for U.S. use.
A spectacular and exceedingly rare matching pair of authentic 1930s Art Deco table lamps, masterfully crafted from genuine Bakelite. These sculptural pieces are a true celebration of the period’s geometric design language, softened by elegantly rounded edges and a stunning faux marble pattern in warm ivory and brown tones.
What makes this pair exceptionally special is not only their condition ... near mint ... but also their rarity. In over a decade of specializing in early 20th-century lighting, we've encountered only two similar pair, which sold almost immediately. To find another set, especially in such preserved and complete condition, is virtually unheard of.
The stylized square shades with fluted corners complement the curved stems and stepped bases perfectly. Whether illuminated or not, the marbled bakelite surfaces reflect light beautifully and exude the unmistakable charm and sophistication of the machine Age.
