Beautiful Scandinavian lamp by Per et Annelise Linnemann Schmidt for Palshus, Denmark, circa 1960. Enamelled chamotte decorations with horizontal stripe, orange-brown glaze. In excellent condition. Lamp shade not included. Dimensions in cm of the ceramic body ( H x D ) : 46 x 18 Secure shipping. Per Linnemann (1912-1999) was the son of the Danish sculptor Willie Wulff. Later he took the name of his father-in-law Schmidt. Per entered the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen in 1931 and worked as a sculptor, when he was between 30 and 40 years old, as a specialist in portraits. In 1949 he opened Palhus Stenøj (the sandstone) with his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt (born Sprechler). They moved into a house to work and live in.
