About the Item

A most attractive and high quality true pair of French mid 19th century Empire st. patinated Bronze, Ormolu and Vert de Patricia Marble candelabra lamps. Each stunning electrified candelabra is raised on a square plinth with a circular Rais de Coeur band. The Vert de Patricia marble column above is richly decorated by elegant wreaths with male and female profiles flanked by quivers and floral swags. Above and raised by a burnished sphere is the Goddess Nike with open wings and dressed in a classical attire. She has a floral band in her hair with a star in the center, and is elegantly decorated by Ormolu bands on her arms. The maiden is holding the five 'S' scrolled electrified arms with acanthus leaves and top scrolls. Exquisite quality and wonderful proportions throughout.
