About the Item

A handsome and most decorative true pair of French 19th century faux Porphyry, Ormolu and patinated Bronze lamps of Napoleon. Each impressive lamp is raised by a mottled rectangular faux Porphyry base and supported on four Ormolu ball feet. Atop the mottled base is a patinated Bronze statue of a rearing stallion with Napoleon adorned in formal battle attire, wearing his signature "en bataille" hat and pointing out to direct his men in the midst of a battle. The fluted patinated Bronze fut emerges from behind Napoleon on horseback and leads upward to the electrified bulb with a rose bud top finial.
